The Perfect Tree

After lunch on Thursday,...yes, right during nap time... Ben and I took the kids to the McDaniel Tree Farm. As we walked around looking for just the right tree, Noah would intensely study them and say, "How 'bout this one? It's pretty." :) So stinking cute...Anyway, after our careful search, here it is!

This was the first time Noah wanted to help decorate. We only had three ornaments to break! (and I dropped one of them:) ) I hope this was a tradition in the making...I always loved helping my mom put ours up. We all had special ornaments that were just for each of the four of us to hang.

My Little Blue Fish

Meet Blue Fish. During the Thanksgiving celebration at Day Care yesterday, the kids made two different pilgrim hats, a "teeee peeee", and this very important Indian headdress. He became "Blue Fish" last night, assuming all responsibilities of the Indian Chief: eating the sprinkles off of the cookies, mastering the Indian yell, and most importantly, naming the colored feathers in Spanish. :) How cute is my little Indian?

Big Girl

Today, Ainsley is 4 months old! These past few months have flown by, although I can't imagine my life now without her. She is such a joy. Every day she is doing something new and making us smile. I am so blessed to be her mommy. Thank you, God for deciding to share her with us! Happy 4 month birthday, Ainsley!

Big Brother, Baby Sister

I think Ainsley thought she was a big girl in the bed with Noah!

Noah wanted Ainsley to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with him. She found her thumb equally entertaining. :)

This is one of my favorite pictures of Ainsley that I just had to share. I took this for her birth announcement when she was a few days old.

Aunt Al!

Funny....after everyone ran from the class reunion, Al wanted to spend time with the little girl who should have been asleep! I'm so glad my kids get the joy of knowing Al! We can't wait for her to make them into ball players :)

A Double Play Date :)

I'm so excited about Ainsley and Harper being so close in age. It's fun to watch them grow together.
Noah has a LOT to learn about sharing!

"Andersen, kiss my head, please. Kiss my head."....."Ok."---This was so funny. Noah needed some Anders love I guess.

" Thanks, Ms. Lindsey, for letting me eat all of the sprinkles off of your cookies!"

The Gentleman....

We have been fortunate to avoid any major injuries at our house with the kids (especially since Noah is such a wild man), so last night was a big night for us. Noah was taking a bath, or "swimming" as he says, while we were coordinating our efforts to get Ainsley into the bath...there's a lot of handing off and calling "switch" about this time of night. Just as we were standing right next to the tub, Noah jumped up and decided to climb out. Before we knew it, he slipped and hit his chin, causing a pretty big gash. This being our first time with such a cut, Ben and I were nervous about the thought of holding Noah down for stitches. Thankfully, we called a neighbor who would know what to do. I took Noah down to their house, where he quietly laid back on the kitchen counter/ makeshift exam table. "ohhhhh, my bobo" he pleaded, as our neighbor cleaned and steri-stripped his chin. Noah is sooo dramatic. When the "little surgery" was over, Noah looked up with those blue eyes and politely said "Thaaank You". Oh my goodness, the little gentleman just stole my heart all over again!...

My sweet boy...

Noah is surprising us everyday with his thoughtfulness...I often underestimate what his little mind takes in and just how much he ponders...For example, yesterday morning, after rushing to get ready myself, feed the baby, feed Noah, get Noah dressed and get in the car, I was a little aggrivated. (It doesn't seem to matter how early I get up, I'm always late). As Noah and I were driving to daycare, I think he suddenly realized that all of the leaves were changing. His little face was glowing as he pointed out all of the colors. Just as his "discovery" started to cheer me up, he asked, "Mama, God made the colors? Thank you God for the colors." If we could only try to see things through a child's eyes...Maybe we would see past the daily to do list and the hectic schedule, the things that distract us from the blessings in front of us. So many times I overlook the wonderful things the Lord does for us on a daily basis. What a lesson Noah taught me! God is so good.

After looking through some pictures, I just had to post these. I love them! Ben is such a proud daddy and his babies are crazy about him....ok, so I know that Ainsley doesn't exactly look excited, but how cute is she??!!

Proud Daddy

Around here...

Noah loves to watch music videos on noggin.com...about as much as he loves his boots! This is a nightly event around here.

My baby girl is changing so fast...I feel like I blink and she's already doing something new. It's definitely bitter-sweet :)

Trunk or Treat

Aunt Ashlee invited us all to her church's "Trunk or Treat". What a great idea! Tons of candy all in one contained area. Noah and Shane loved it. Thanks Ash!

Shane and Noah were so polite at each "trunk", always saying thank you. They were so happy to get candy! I'm not sure they could believe every car had some for them.

The boys could not believe that they had a piece of "yucky foot candy".
Trunk or Treat turned out to be a great nap for Ainsley.
