My little model....

Just had to share our new add that came out in the Festival Flyer of the Star Herald this week. Noah was rockin the Ray Ban Wayfarers! Unfortunately, he decided to chew on them, so they are now mine. :)

Guess what the Lord did for us!

So, if you read my little blog, you know a little about what we have been going through with Ains. We have been through tons of antibiotics and tons of diapers. No sleeping at the Dew house...for weeks! After our little visit to the two doctors last Thursday, I thought I was about to have to break this new habit of waking up every 2 hours through the night. Thought we were going to have to cry it out (which I'm too weak to do :) ) Friday, I took some clothes over to a lady that helps me out ironing Ben's huge shirts (I hate doing it, and she needs the money). She told me she knew something was wrong, that she could see it on my face. I went in to the whole story about Ainsley, and how we were so worn down...how I needed her to sleep and be well. Ms. Mary grabbed my hands and prayed for my children right there in her living room . She prayed to bind all that was evil, keeping it away from my babies. She prayed that the Lord would give Ben and I rest. She handed my kids to the Lord. I knew I was in the presence of God, honestly. My heart cried out, I had goose bumps on my arms...and friends, do you know, that my baby girl slept all night that night?...and every night since? She's even fussing for me to lay her down! Praise the Lord! The Dews are sleeping again! No crying it out around here...my sweet girl is back to herself. Ms. Mary is my prayer warrior.

This little piggy

My brother has two pot-bellied pigs...and well, now he's got a few more. We went to visit the little piggies today. They are so stinking cute, you can't help but love on them! I just had to post some pics. Ainsley thought they were hilarious!

Silly girl and Iphone posting

So, I'm learning how to post from my phone. I had no idea that I could until today, and it's fairly easy. This silly girl was just the right subject for my posting experiment.

Our girl is a little rotten!

Today, Ainsley and I went for her followup with the ENT. She's been running a little fever this week and has NOT been sleeping at all, so I was expecting a clogged tube or something. She's also had some crazy diaper problems, so a friend of mine and our pediatrician suggested I bring a diaper down with us to culture. After two doctors visits today and carrying around a ziplock bagged diaper, I found out that my baby is very healthy and maybe just a little rotten now! The doctor went through teaching them to sleep on their own...and so tonight, we are trying to cry it out. I've already been in there 3 times! She slept on her own when she was younger...as soon as I laid her down. Looks like its going to be a long night. Anyone have any ideas on speeding up this process?

By the way, yesterday we went to Children's Place and they had 50% off of all sale items (which was most of the spring stuff). We racked up! Lots of dresses and shirts for 2, 3, and $4!!

He's Risen!!!!

We had a great Easter at our house. This was the first time Noah wanted to dye eggs and got to eat "mashmellow PEEPS". (He's so funny.) He also ran around the house all weekend saying, "Mama, He's not here, He's Risen!!!! Luke 24 and 6!!"....I know he doesn't understand, but everytime he said it, my heart was so thankful to hear it.
As far as pictures go, these are my best. I had a hard time getting a picture of my two kids in their Easter outfits...ya'll let me know if there is a secret to getting to church semi on time without someone screaming :) They were really sweet though, all dolled up.....oh, by the way, Noah insisted on wearing his tie like that!

Egg Hunting

Saturday, we crashed the Methodist Church Easter Egg Hunt. Our sweet neighbors invited us to join the fun, and fun Noah had! He wasn't as interested in finding the eggs as he was finding the ones with skittles in them. (our new favorite) ...While he found out what a trampoline was all about, Ainsley found a great napping spot with Mrs. Wiggers.

My Little Piggy

When Ainsley wants to be funny, this is her new favorite. She is so cute wrinkling up that little nose and making silly noises....sweet little piggy! You can also see a few of those teeth I've been telling you about.

A little surgery...

Tuesday I took Ainsley to Jackson for an appointment with an ENT doctor, Dr. Cole. Our recent fight with yet another ear infection prompted Dr. Alford to send us. After testing this sweet baby's hearing, they realized that apparently she wasn't really hearing out of one ear and barely out of the other!! Dr. Cole decided he would put tubes in this morning....talk about service! So, here we are at 5:30 this morning, right before they took her back. Ainsley was an angel the whole time, even though she was starving :) It honestly took longer to fill out the paper work than for the whole procedure. Dr. Cole said they removed a LOT of fluid. He also said she may be up all night listening to the crickets! Once the anaesthesia wore off, this sweet baby was good to go. I've already noticed her looking around in the direction of every little sound. The Lord truly took care of us down there! This is a huge praise!! Thank ya'll for your prayers for my sweet girl.
