And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name." Luke 1:46-47, 49.
Mary is talking to Elizabeth, expressing her personal praise to God for choosing her, a simple girl, to bring our Savior into the world. I can't help but think she's also excited about a son to call her own....I'm naive to think that I can relate to this, but as I read this, I am so grateful, for He has truly done great things for me as well. In fact, my heart is overflowing when I think of my two little blessings- my spirit rejoices. God is so good to allow us such joy in being a mom :)

So refreshing to be reminded that it indeed is a joy...how often I am guilty of selfishly feeling as if it is a duty. Thanks for the encouragement today....I needed it!
