I love this time of year...Ben's birthday...it means for a few weeks, I have an "older man" (aka "he hits the big ones before me!") This year, being the devoted MSU fan that he is, he wanted us to fly to Houston for the big away game. We had a great time! Our hotel was decorated like old Hollywood (but nothing old about the snack bar with sensors under each item :)...lesson learned, never pick the drinks up, even just to look at them! ha) We walked through downtown, shopped, listened to good music, and completely relaxed....I felt like it was more of a bday celebration for me! Oh- and State smashed Houston!!
So...while we were gone, our sweet little man decided to have his daddy a surprise party. When we got home, that sweet baby had snuck over to the house and decorated the kitchen, complete with MSU balloons. Noah had he and Ains wear their state jerseys, and ordered a chocolate cake with a monster truck ("chocolate so it looks like it's in the mud"). When we got home, he had us all hide and made Ben "count to 3" before he opened his eyes and we yelled "surprise!"
Noah gave his daddy a new Thomas the Train...so they could play together (and Noah could keep it company while Ben is at work lol)
Happy Birthday, Ben! I'm looking forward to many more birthday celebrations with you :) (You've set the bar high with this trip...lol) We love you!
